3 to 5 years relevant experience in an electricity distribution system or public lighting environment, with exposure to a wide range of technologies.
Good project management skills.
Sound knowledge of safety legislation and practice.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Problem solving skills.
A high degree of computer literacy.

Key Performance Areas
KPA weighting will be adjusted to meet the requirements of the division (SIP, PI, PLD or SCP) where the successful candidate is placed.
Planning, designing and implementing network extensions and public lighting infrastructure in response to customer power supply and lighting applications (SCP, SIP, PI, and PLD).
Facilitating the establishment of residential and electrification projects (SCP, SIP, PLD).
Facilitating the regulation of new or upgraded embedded generation installations (SCP, SIP).
Assists in planning, designing and implementing the short to medium term development of the electricity distribution system (SIP, PI, PLD, SCP).
Utilising specialised as well as mainstream computer software, e.g. to perform power system analysis studies, lighting designs and project management functions (SIP, PI, PLD, SCP).
