Job Purpose    

• Monitors compliance and improves understanding and awareness of environmental and occupational hazards and risks. 
• This post reports to OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH PHYSICIAN

Key Responsibility Areas    

• Manages and controls specific functional administrative, communication and reporting requirements.
• Develops, maintains and co-ordinates an Integrated Environmental Hazard Management System and defines associated procedural guidelines.
• Co-ordinates and implements audit and inspection interventions to determine exposure to environmental and occupational hygiene hazards and risks.
• Provides input into workplace design and/ or work processes.
• Facilitates learning and awareness of Environmental/ Occupational hygiene.
• Co-ordinates specific administrative, report and recordkeeping requirements.

Essential Requirements    

• Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Environmental Health or Occupational Hygiene or Environmental Science or any other related and equivalent qualification.
• Registered with the South African Institution for Occupational Hygiene as a certified member.
• Valid motor vehicle driving license.
• 2 years relevant experience in Occupational Hygiene.
• Computer Literacy

Preferred Requirements    

• Degree (NQF Level 7) in Environmental Health or Occupational Hygiene or Environmental Science or any other related and equivalent qualification.
• 3 years relevant experience in Occupational Hygiene.
