    Officer: Security Investigation - Centurion

    Purpose of the Job: 

    • Reporting to the Manager: Security Investigation, the successful incumbent is responsible for the maintenance of investigations on all suspected offenses within RAF and it premises.

    Key Performance Areas

    Security Investigations

    • Aid in conducting investigations into offenses contravening local law or organisational policy committed by RAF staff members and non-RAF staff members.
    • Escalate matters of the prosecution to the Senior Officer where applicable.
    • Aid in the conducting of security risk assessments for the entire organisation as well as guide the implementation of corresponding mitigation measures.
    • Conduct research on technical advice regarding the requirements and specifications for strengthening existing and new building security systems are provided.
    • Liaise with SAPS.
    • Documenting and safeguarding of evidence and testimony for court and disciplinary hearings.

    Complaints Management

    • Manage the complaints system to ensure that all complaints are logged and discussed with the respective official.
    • Discuss mitigation/solutions to complaint areas with relevant official.

    Reporting

    • Manage the security and storage of information, evidence and documents related to investigations.
    • Assist in the preparation and submission of regulation reports.
    • Contribute to the development of functional reporting systems, for management, project or performance reporting.

    Stakeholder Management

    • Liaise with internal and external parties including local law and other enforcement authorities, as necessary to ensure the effective and efficient functioning of the investigation process.

    Qualifications and Experience

    • National Diploma in Security Management/ Criminal Justice/ Forensic Science or related qualification.
    • PSIRA Grading.
    • Relevant 3 years’ experience in a Security Investigation related environment.

    • Knowledge on Management of Information Secuirty Systems (MISS) and MPSS.
    • Knowledge on Information security strategy and management.
    • Information security and/or privacy awareness.
    • MS Office Skills.
