Basic R425 qualification (diploma/degree in nursing) that allows registration with South African Nursing Council as a Professional Nurse. Up to date registered annually with SANC.
A minimum of 7 years appropriate/recognizable experience in nursing after registration as a Professional Nurse with the SANC in general nursing and midwifery. Diploma/Degree in Nursing Administration / Health Service Management. Primary Health Care will be added as an advantage
Duties :
Monitor and supervise clinical and non-clinical services as well as departmental and institutional priorities during the night. Supervisory, problem-solving, conflict resolution, interpersonal skills.
Good leadership and communication skills. Knowledge of nursing legislation related legal and ethical nursing practices and framework. Labor relations legislation and relevant public sector policies.
Ability to plan organize, lead and co-ordinate quality health services Demonstrate basic understanding of human resources disciplinary procedures as well as financial management policies, guidelines and practices. Be prepared to work night shifts, after hours, on weekends and public holidays.
