A minimum of 7 years appropriate / recognisable experience in nursing after registration as Professional Nurse with the SANC in General Nursing.
Minimum Educational Qualification:
Basic R425 qualification (i.e. diploma/degree in nursing) or equivalent qualification (R683) that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse. OR A 4 year Bachelor Degree in Nursing (R174) that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse. OR A 3 year Diploma in Nursing (R171) that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a General Nurse.
Duties
Supervise the unit and ensure proper utilization of physical, human and financial resource in accordance with legislation and policies. Provide management support, guidance, and direction to personnel under her/his supervision towards the realization of strategic goals and objectives. Maintain constructive working relationships with multi-disciplinary teamwork and other relevant stakeholders. Participate in health promotion initiatives, HAST audits and contribute to their evaluation and improvement plans. Effective operational management at clinic level. Professional development, i.e. assessing, in service training needs, planning implementation of training programmes.
