Partner with and support stakeholders within the assigned Operations Team to effectively manage the Control environment, containing losses and minimizing non-financial risk.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Management: Adhere to financial policies and processes, providing input for cost efficiency opportunities.
Risk Identification: Conduct regular Risk Control Self-Assessments (RCSA) with stakeholders to identify gaps, escalate issues, and adjust controls to minimize risks and losses in CIB Operations.
Control Frameworks: Implement and monitor Control frameworks to ensure accurate reporting, data sets, and optimal control process operations.
Incident Management: Detect and investigate Control failures, escalate issues, perform root cause analysis, and remediate failures to prevent recurrence.
Operational Excellence: Identify and report incidents, suggest process improvements, and contribute to technological enhancements for infrastructure stability.
Risk Monitoring: Track and remediate risks, implement KRIs, and analyse trends to enable early identification and mitigation of risks.
Data-Driven Insights: Gather and analyse data, perform trend analysis via monthly dashboards, and share insights with Operations Control and stakeholders.
Control Knowledge: Provide guidance on Control frameworks, tools, and reports to assist the assigned Operations Team in mitigating risks.
Reporting & Stakeholder Engagement: Implement reporting mechanisms for performance indicators and operational incidents. Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure the effective implementation of Control frameworks.
Audit Support: Assist with the audit process and track the resolution of audit findings.
Value Chain Integration: Contribute to the continuous improvement of Controls based on insights from the Operations Team environment.
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
Advanced Diploma / First Degree.
1-4 years of experience in Operations, Risk, or Product Financial Services, with exposure to operational control processes.
Ability to apply Risk and Control frameworks, problem-solving, and process design thinking.
Strong knowledge of risk management methodologies, tools, governance structures, and regulatory requirements.
Stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills are essential.
