    Sales Representative - Vascular Access, Critical Care & Airway | Durban

    Purpose of the Role

    • The Sales Representative will be responsible for driving sales and growth within the Vascular Access, Critical Care, and Airway division across the KwaZulu-Natal region.
    • The incumbent will service existing accounts, develop new business, maintain strong relationships with healthcare professionals, and contribute to the overall success of Jehu Industries through effective sales and marketing activities.
    • Region :  CBD, North Coast, South Coast, inland country trip.

    Key Responsibilities

    Sales & Business Development

    • Service existing accounts and identify new business opportunities within the assigned territory.
    • Meet and exceed sales targets and performance metrics.
    • Conduct effective product presentations, demonstrations, and training to clinical personnel.
    • Manage consignment and boot stock efficiently, ensuring accurate inventory tracking.
    • Maintain accurate records of all customer interactions, sales leads, and territory performance in the CRM system (Force Manager).
    • Monitor competitors’ activities, pricing, and product offerings; recommend strategies to management.
    • Participate in after-hours and weekend activities such as training sessions and congresses when necessary.

    Customer Relationship Management

    • Build and maintain strong professional relationships with healthcare stakeholders, including physicians, key opinion leaders, nurses, theatre stock controllers, and hospital administrators.
    • Resolve customer complaints promptly by investigating issues and recommending solutions.
    • Gather customer requirements and provide feedback to management to ensure high levels of satisfaction.
    • Collaborate with internal teams (Customer Service, Finance, Logistics) to support seamless service delivery.

    Marketing & Promotional Activities

    • Assist the National Product Manager and Sales Manager with product marketing, workshops, journal clubs, and educational events.
    • Implement marketing strategies and tactical plans within the assigned territory.
    • Promote the full range of products and services offered by Jehu Industries.
    • Analyze sales and marketing performance and provide regular reports to management.

    Training & Knowledge Development

    • Maintain up-to-date product, clinical, and technical knowledge.
    • Conduct training for customers and internal team members as required.
    • Identify educational opportunities for customers to maximize ROI and product adoption.
    • Attend relevant professional workshops, conferences, and congresses to stay informed of industry developments.

    Administration & Reporting

    • Submit timely daily call reports, weekly planners, and monthly and annual sales analyses.
    • Manage expense claims in accordance with company policies.
    • Ensure all activities comply with legal, ethical, and regulatory standards.
    • Maintain accurate records of stock, quotations, and customer interactions.

    Requirements

    Qualifications & Experience

    • Minimum: Grade 12 (Matric).
    • Relevant degree, diploma, or medical/marketing qualification advantageous.
    • Minimum of 2 years’ sales experience, preferably in the medical or hospital equipment industry.
    • Knowledge of the KZN healthcare market and relevant customer base is advantageous. 
    • Proven track record in sales with verifiable references.

    Job Description

    • Our client is a leading provider of medical devices in South Africa. They are seeking junior sales talent to join their team in the Durban region as a Junior Sales Representative in the Surgical Devices space.

    Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Develop & understand how to maintain and develop current business and seeking new business
    • Sales and Marketing of all products in the designated range
    • Attending theatre cases to learn and develop and to apply this learning in a theatre environment and when ready give technical support in the operating theatre when required
    • Ensure full compliance during any hospital procedure, the SAMED code of conduct & CRICE.
    • Prepare, review and update surgeon preference lists including quotes
    • Develop knowledge of how to conduct customer calls to drive business growth

    Requirements

    • More than 1 years working experience as a medical device sales representative – preference will be given to Hands trauma experience (Upper limb distal extremities).
    • Proven track record of sales budget achievement in previous roles.
    • Fluency in English and understanding of Afrikaans
    • A high quality of communication, planning and time management skills required
    • Good relationship building, networking, coaching, facilitating and feedback skills
    • Valid code 08 driver’s license & own transport
    • Able to work after hours

    Field Service Engineer - Imaging & Robotics | MedTech | Bloemfontein

    Job Description

    Scope of the position:

    • Working within the Bloemfontein Field Service team, carrying out the installation, service and maintenance of the state-of-the-art surgical systems, install base of the company's equipment.
    • The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring maximum system up-time and enabling surgical teams to get the best clinical value from the surgical platform and ensuring service agreements and warranty obligations are fulfilled. This is a challenging role, where technical-, troubleshooting- and customer-facing skills are combined.
    • This role will work closely with the Business Development Manager, Business Unit Manager and Technical Manager / Branch Manager.

    General areas of responsibilities:

    • Assessing, installation, trouble shooting, repair and scheduled maintenance of integrated surgical systems in compliance with regulations and quality standards;
    • Ensuring preventative maintenance actions are carried out precisely and on time and ensuring that all service works are clearly and accurately documented;
    • Performing remote log analysis using dedicated engineering tools;
    • Maintaining service logs, internal service records and accurate configurations of the installed systems ensuring compliance with all relevant medical device regulations;
    • Taking ownership of customer issues from identification of issue right through to resolution and maintaining great customer satisfaction;
    • Provide technical support to end-users and internal customers including Commercial, Marketing and Clinical Implementation teams;
    • Maintain and develop the Technical Support and Service processes;
    • Managing spare parts inventory, from ordering to managing the reverse logistic of spare parts and calibration tools;
    • Complete and keep detailed records ensuring all administrative tasks are performed on time;
    • Preparing and following up on quotations;
    • Providing accurate feedback to the Commercial, Marketing and Clinical Implementation team;
    • Preparing product reports by collecting, analysing, and summarizing information and trends;
    • Keeping equipment operational by following manufacturer's instructions and established procedures;
    • Completing projects by training and guiding customers / users;
    • Scope includes installation base of the company's equipment in the Free State & Northern Cape;
    • Maintaining professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; participating in professional societies;
    • Standby duties and willingness to work after hours

    Requirements

    Qualifications and experience required:

    • N-Dip, National Diploma or B-Tech Degree Electrical / Electronic / Clinical / Biomedical Engineering;
    • Minimum 3-5 years working experience as a Field Service Engineer / Clinical Engineer;
    • Availability to travel at short notice within South Africa.
    • Valid Driver’s license and reliable own vehicle is a requirement.
    • Field service experience within a regulated environment such as medical / pharmaceutical;
    • Experience and knowledge of operating theatre protocols and working with hospitals;
    • Experience in servicing value added capital equipment would be advantageous (Imaging, Surgical Robotics, Radiotherapy, etc.);
    • Medical background in the clinical field of imaging, surgical robotics, radiation therapy is a requirement;
    • Electronic experience and ability to perform software updates via engineering interfaces;
    • Experience in the medical industry on X-ray equipment;
    • Computer literacy and proficiency in MS Office including advanced Excel is a requirement for this position
