    Operations Excellence - Sales Support

    Operations Analyst will be responsible to supply the Operations teams with the required data/information on a regular basis to enable the teams to work more effectively. This role owns the incentive program process and the incumbent will track various KPI’s on a monthly basis to measure performance & compliance amongst retailers and the sales teams. Manage the communications content and channels towards the sales force, and between Shell and the Retailers, optimizing costs whilst ensuring their effectiveness.

    Principal Accountabilities

    • Create and manage KPI Dashboard for the Retail Operations Business
    • Update site list with site attributes weekly and communicate with React/Gapbuster.
    • Support the OEM in tasks as required from time to time.
    • Analyse Gapbuster data for various incentive programmes and produce reports for Territory Manager/District Manager on monthly basis
    • Develop MarketHub content and programme- system to produce the required business processes/functionality
    • Manage and develop appropriate and efficient communication channels/methods for the Sales Teams and Retailers
    • Assist in the development of business cases for future e-services investments via feedback to Global Channel Management team
    • Provide support to Sales & Operations team, ensuring proper delivery of desired messages and proper reception of feedback from the Retailers
    • Interface with Marketing team to communicate Marketing efforts to the sales force and to the Retailers
    • Manage/Coordinate quarterly Retail briefs/newsletters for internal and external use
    • Accountable for communication for internal engagements with local and global stakeholders
    • Coordinate Retailer communications with other Shell areas e.g. External Affairs, Corporate, Network
    • Execute retailer communications programmes and events
    • Own and promote the use of MarketHub to communicate with Retailers, in order to drive costs out of the business

    BUSINESS WRITING

    • Manage business communication from various departments and ensure that it is written in appropriate language, formats and group templates
    • Ensure that all communication on MarketHub and to Retailer community meets the Group Standards and Requirements
    • Attend various business events and update MarketHub with content from such events – videos, pictures etc.
    • Understanding of the various legislation that impacts on communication, protection of information and individual privacy
    • Develop newsletters as when requested by various departments

    COMPLIANCE

    • Monitor and track Retail Business System implementation for the whole market
    • Launch and implement the Core Planning Cycle process for the South African market.
    • Ensure that all sites have are valid agreements (Month-month newsletter)
    • Draft & provide templates for warning, breach, terminations, renewal/non-renewal letters
    • Manage the Site Staff Rewards & Recognition Programme
    • Manage compliance with the contractual conditions (Site & Retail license)
    • Develop tools for the effective measurement and monitoring of Retailer and Territory Manager compliance

    Requirements

    • A bachelor’s degree with good understanding of Retail & Territory Managers/District Managers based controls activities.
    • Solid understanding of end-to-end Sales operational activities with experience around the fuel/Customer Relationship management.
    • Able to communication across all levels and deal with sensitive issues
    • Good use of Salesforce and Microsoft application (Excel – Advanced level)
    • Self-starter – able to work independently
    • Demonstrate aspired Enterprise First behaviors and Shell core values (Honesty, Integrity, Respect for People)
    • Strong team member of sales support and cross functional teams
    • Basic understanding of Retail business
