    Operations Manager - Catering

    Job Context    
    Servest Catering has a position for an Operations Manager .

    The incumbent will be responsible for the overall operations management in accordance with sector strategy, contract specifications and statutory regulations as well as ensure overall efficient and effective management of the units to provide a great quality Catering.

    Minimum Requirements    

    • Business / Project Management Qualification At least 5 years of experience in catering or similar.
    • Advanced Computer Literacy HACCP.
    • Working Knowledge of operational standards and procedures for catering. Knowledge, management of company processes and systems.
    • Budgeting, forecasting and interpretation of financial documents.
    • Profit and Cost centered Business insight and commercial acumen. Excellent communication and listening skills, Interpersonal skills, Attention to detail. Excellent purchasing, stock and cash controls.
    • Sound understanding of compiling reports and Execute IR related matters.

    Duties & Responsibilities    

    • Develop and implement the Operations business plan and corresponding budget, including weekly, monthly ,quarterly and annual reporting.
    • Monitor and ensure correction of negative deviations to budget (actual vs approved forecast /budget).
    • Demonstrate growth year on year in the operations revenue base – investigate and implement as appropriate expanded service offerings.
    • Minimise overhead costs across the operation and manage working capital (Stock, cash and debtors).
    • Oversee the operations, meeting regularly with both the clients and the operations ,utilising the service level agreement to monitor compliance.
    • Attend to matters arising, focusing on the customer and client satisfaction and ultimately client loyalty (engage in client hospitality initiatives).
    • Ensure minimum standards are adhered to by the operations and manage non conformance.
    • Negotiate contract terms with clients and suppliers. Monitor the operations administrative work ensuring information is complete ,reliable, accessible, timely and accurate including payroll variations, financial book work ,health safety and security records as well as employee records. Contribute to operation's information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews.
    • Prepare and complete action plans, implement production, productivity quality and customer service standards. Resolve problems, complete audits and identify trends.
