Operator Belt Attendant - South32, Wessels Mine at South32

ABOUT THE ROLE:

This role is a permanent full-time position.

• As a operator belt attendant you will be responsible to lead the category of Energy effecting commercial agreements that optimise the utilisation and cost across the portfolio at the African operations and support operational safety, cost and committed environmental targets.

Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:

• In Transfer material by means of belt conveyors;
• Attend to blockages and spillages;
• Maintain housekeeping standards in the work area;
• Responsible for safety and good housekeeping in the Company filing system;
• Report hazards in the workplace.

ABOUT YOU:

You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

• Must have experience in a Trained on transfer material by means of belt conveyor.

Qualifications for this role are:

• Grade 10 (internal candidates) or Grade 12 with mathematics (external candidate);
• Valid drivers license.
