    Specialist Reporting - South 32 , Johannesburg

    ABOUT THE ROLE:

    This role is a permanent full-time position.

    • As a Specialist Reporting you will be responsible to reporting of timely and accurate financial information to ensure all accounting and reporting regulatory requirements are met.
    • The role involves the execution of financial accounting proocesses to meet monthly,quarterly,Half yearly and yearly reporting requirements.

    Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:

    • Perform period end close processes according to set metrics/timetables, including monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts ensuring the accuracy, validity, completeness and recoverability of all balances;
    • Prepare statutory financial statements for South African entities in terms of IFRS and ensure all other accounting and reporting regulatory requirements are accurate and
    • Analyses transactions and general ledger balances, and action as required;
    • Interact with and address queries received from internal and external auditors;
    • Provide financial accounting support and expertise to the business;
    • Perform periodic control testing and financial governance related activities, ensuring a fit for purpose internal control environment operates;
    • Execute planned accounting projects and/or improve existing processes;
    • Prepare weekly 4-week cash forecasts for cash outflows and sundry/non-trade inflows.

    ABOUT YOU:

    You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

    • Experience in operational financial accounting and reporting is essential;
    • 1 year post article experience.

    Specialist Robotic Process Automation - South32,Johannesburg

    ABOUT THE ROLE:

    This role is a permanent full-time position.

    • As a Robotic Process Automation Developer you will be responsible to develop digital solutions so that our people have the right information and the right technology to perform their roles safely and efficiently. Contribute to internal guilds with best practices, ways of working and continuously contribute to improving internal development capability.

    Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:

    • Ensure alignment to and compliance with internal controls including South32 Values, Standards, Policies, agreements, systems and procedures;
    • Provide technical capability to GBS projects to ensure transparency in decision making, due process, efficiency, effectiveness, and that project outcomes are achieved, and change is managed;
    • Monitor process effectiveness and identify opportunities for automation of work processes in collaboration with functions across the organization;

    ABOUT YOU:

    You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

    • Minimum 5+ years in a software development role of which 2+ years of working in Agile/ Lean environment;
    • Possesses a strong understanding of end-to-end customer experience, and how development plays a role;
    • High level understanding of emerging approaches and technologies such as microservices, API Management, etc;
    • Strong experience and certification in Automation Anywhere (RPA technology);
    • Strong experience in C#.NET;: MS Power Platform;
    • Experience with languages such as C++, Java, Python;

    Supervisor Maintenance Control and Instrumentation - Hotazel

    ABOUT THE ROLE:

    This role is a permanent full-time position.

    • As a supervisor maintenance control and instrumentation you will be responsible to supervise the instrumentation and process teams in the safe design, installation, repair and maintenance of instrumentation equipment across the site.

    Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:

    • Supervise Instrumentation maintenance activities;
    • Prioritise and allocate Maintenance resources efficiently (Planned and unplanned);
    • Guide and assist Instrument technicians with daily maintenance activities;

    Engineer Analysis & Improvement Maintenance (FTC) - South32, Richards Bay (External Applicants Only)

    ABOUT THE ROLE:

    This role is a Fixed Term contract position.

    • As an Engineer Analysis & Improvement Maintenance you will be responsible to develop, deploy, and continuously improve maintenance work management strategies for an Operation, ensure compliance to work plans and statutory and legislative requirements. to provide organisational governance in the application of SAP processes and promote understanding and compliance to SAP principles.

    Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:

    • Develop equipment maintenance strategies for all equipment within the operations;
    • Conduct RCA’s to reduce breakdowns & repeat failures;
    • Identify & Implement Continuous Improvement initiatives to reduce cost;
    • SAP Accountabilities:
    • Own all associated task lists and work instructions and must ensure that these are accurately documented and loaded;
    • Identify all equipment requiring inspections and repairs based on legislative and statutory requirements and create master data;
    • Ensure adherence to statutory plans;
    • Develop a maintenance budget based on the preventative and corrective maintenance work strategies;
    • Perform equipment strategy reviews and failure analysis to ensure that all task lists, and work instructions remain accurate and relevant;
    • Update task lists / work instructions and all relevant master data;
    • Cancel system generated work orders that are not to be executed;
    • Review and analyse work management metrics to ensure compliance to the SAP processes;
    • Review / approve SAP Master Data change requests in line with maintenance strategies and content quality requirements;
    • Ensure that all modifications to physical assets, follow Engineering Change management;
    • Encourage, mentor and coach peers and colleagues across operational areas to follow the SAP process by promoting operating discipline;
    • Develop Scope of Work for Maintenance Contracts.

    ABOUT YOU:

    You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

    • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Heavy Industry/Mining within Maintenance of Mechanical Plant Equipment;
    • 2 Years and more experience in Analysis and Improvement is advantageous;
    • Experience in various types of plant Mechanical Equipment is essential;
    • Experience in Root Cause Analysis and various other Analytical Techniques is advantageous;
    • Experience working on SAP is advantageous.

    Operator Mobile Machine - South32, Wessels Mine

    ABOUT THE ROLE:

    This role is a permanent full-time position.

    • As a operator mobile machine you will be responsible to safely load, haul and dump materials by means of Front End Loader(FEL) and Articulated Dump Truck(ADT).

    Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:

    • Operate Surface FEL and ADT in a mining environment;
    • Efficiently and safely utilize the equipment to meet hourly plant production rates;
    • Apply health, safety and housekeeping standards;
    • Participate in investigations into workplace incidents;
    • Report any unsafe behaviour, conditions and incidents to the responsible person;
    • Conduct pre-use inspections, routine inspections and report defects;
    • Conduct risk assessment before all tasks and identify risks and hazards;
    • Keep mobile equipment clean and in a good condition all the time.

    ABOUT YOU:

    You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

    • Must have a minimum of 1-year experience as an  FEL and ADT operator in a mining environment;

    Qualifications for this role are:

    • Grade 10 for internal candidates and Grade 12 with mathematics for external candidate;
    • Valid drivers license;
    • License for both FEL and ADT.

    Specialist Facilities Management (FTC) - South32, Richards Bay (Internal/External)

    ABOUT THE ROLE:

    This role is a Fixed Term Contract position.

    • As a Specialist Facilities Management you will be responsible to ensure a smooth running of the ESD centre, lead and co-ordinate multi-discipline team of vendors, to maximise operational and service targets as well as meet customer requirements.

    Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:

    • Ensure the service providers at the centre deliver according to the agreed service level agreements;
    • Embed the contractor management system of work principles at the ESD centre;  
    • Establish and monitor HSEQ systems, through regular engagements with your vendors and hence ensuring the safe work execution of activities;

    • Responsible for the transition of vendors by ensuring that change management is conducted adequately and ensuring a seamless and safe transition with no negative impact on the service offering to the organisation;
    • Evaluate financial transactions by monitoring and analysing cost compared to budget as well as contract spend.

    ABOUT YOU:

    You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

    • A minimum of 5 years experience in Facilities Management is essential;
    • Experience in an operational environment is an advantage;
    • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) is essential;
    • Working experience on 1SAP is essential.

    Qualifications for this role are:

    • Commercial or Engineering Degree/BTECH/National Diploma.
