Planned Network Designs

• Validate network investigation/feasibility study; Compile planning; Execute fieldwork and conduct meetings; Request Wayleaves; Finalise planning

Maintained Plans

• Liaise with role players; Update plans

Provided Consultancy Services

• Receive requests and identify needs; Gather information and determine solutions; Present recommendations to OPSCO

Provide Network Support

• Receive requests and identify needs; Compile Information and communicate information

Presented Information

• Receive requests and identify needs; Conduct research; Compile report and present findings

Implemented Methods & Procedures

• Disseminate methods and procedures; Submit methods and procedures to relevant role players; Assist and guide role players in the application of planning and engineering; Monitor the application of methods and procedures

Compiled Regional Masterplan

• Conduct network investigation; Analyse information; Do preliminary planning and submit recommendations; Monitor the application of methods and procedures

Compiled High Level Capital Budget

• Communicate budget; Obtain / analyse business plan; Process data; Compile budget and obtain approval

Conduct Feasibility Study

• Liaise with role players; Conduct research and collect information; Analyse information; Design and test concept (modelling); Formulate and document proposal

Required Certification    
None

Qualifications    

• Relevant 3-year degree/diploma (NQF level 6) with 2 years relevant telecommunications network experience, preferably in a network engineering environment.  

OR

• Matric with relevant modular training (NQF level 4) with 5 years relevant telecommunications network experience, preferably in a network engineering environment.  

Experience    

• Relevant 3-year degree/diploma (NQF level 6) with 2 years relevant telecommunications network experience, preferably in a network engineering environment.  

OR

• Matric with relevant modular training (NQF level 4) with 5 years relevant telecommunications network experience, preferably in a network engineering environment.  

Special Requirements    

• Valid driver's license  -  Willingness to work outside normal working hours  - Willingness to travel and stay out overnight  -  Willingness to be on standby, not be colour blind, SAP & Netplan experience
