Job Overview:

• Our client is looking for a Power BI Developer / Business Intelligence Analyst to join their Business Intelligence department.
• The successful candidate will develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports, analyse data and translate business requirements into practical reporting solutions that support informed decision-making.

Minimum requirements: 

• Relevant tertiary qualification in: Informatics; Data Analysis; Statistics; Business Intelligence; or a related field.
• Alternatively, equivalent practical experience in Power BI and data visualisation.
• Minimum 1 year's practical experience in Power BI development.
• Ability to develop Power BI dashboards end-to-end, from data preparation through to final reporting.
• Practical experience with Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.
• Experience in dashboard design and data visualisation.
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of DAX.
• Knowledge of data modelling.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
• Self-motivated, reliable and detail oriented.

Advantageous

• Experience with KPI and management reporting.
• Strong Excel data analysis skills.
• Good understanding of business processes and reporting structures.
• SQL scripting experience.
• Duties will include but are not limited to the following: 
• Develop and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports.
• Translate business requirements into visual and functional reporting solutions.
• Analyse data and provide meaningful business insights.
• Improve existing dashboards and reporting systems.
• Support data-driven decision-making across the organisation.
• Work with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements.
• Ensure dashboards and reports are accurate, relevant and user-friendly.
• Assist with business intelligence and data analysis requirements.

The following will form part of the interview and assessment process:

• Development of a practical Power BI report/dashboard.
• Excel-based analytical tests and exercises.
• Practical problem-solving tasks to assess skills and thought processes
