    Out-of-Home (OOH) Media Sales Manager - Blue Label Media (Sandton)

    JOB PURPOSE

    • The Out-of-Home (OOH) Media Sales Manager is responsible for driving the sales of OOH advertising inventory, including digital billboards, transit advertising, and other out-of-home advertising platforms. This role involves developing new business opportunities, managing client relationships, and creating tailored advertising solutions to meet clients' marketing objectives. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in media sales, a deep understanding of OOH advertising trends, and a strong track record of achieving sales targets.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Business Development
    • Prospect and generate new business by identifying potential clients and developing a strong pipeline of leads
    • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to grow market share and maximize revenue opportunities in the OOH sector
    • Conduct cold calls, attend industry events, and network with decision-makers in various industries to build lasting relationships and drive sales
    • Client Relationship Management
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and new clients, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction
    • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, understanding their business needs, objectives, and challenges to propose customized OOH advertising solutions
    • Work closely with the client service and operations teams to ensure successful execution and delivery of campaigns.
    • Sales Presentations & Negotiations
    • Develop and present compelling sales proposals and presentations tailored to client needs
    • Lead negotiations on pricing, contracts, and campaign terms to close sales deals effectively while ensuring profitability
    • Educate clients on the value of OOH advertising and its integration with other media channels, including digital and social media.
    • Campaign Strategy & Planning
    • Collaborate with the media planning and creative teams to develop integrated campaign strategies that meet client goals
    • Provide insights and recommendations on OOH media placements, formats, and geographic targeting to optimize campaign performance
    • Use market research, audience data, and analytics to advise clients on the most effective OOH advertising solutions
    • Sales Target Achievement
    • Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets and revenue goals
    • Monitor and report on sales performance, adjusting strategies as needed to ensure targets are met
    • Analyze sales metrics and trends to identify new opportunities and potential areas for growth
    • Market Research & Industry Knowledge
    • Stay up to date with the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in OOH advertising, including digital out-of-home (DOOH) innovations
    • Conduct competitor analysis and market research to understand current market conditions, pricing trends, and new opportunities
    • Leverage industry data and analytics to create targeted, data-driven sales pitches.
    • Collaboration with Internal Teams
    • Work closely with the marketing, operations, and creative teams to ensure a seamless sales-to-execution process for OOH campaigns
    • Provide feedback to the product and marketing teams to improve offerings and develop new services based on client needs and market demands.
    • Reporting & Documentation
    • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client communications, and contract details in the CRM system
    • Regularly report on sales progress, revenue forecasts, and potential opportunities to senior management
    • Document and track client feedback, making adjustments to proposals or strategies as necessary

    • Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Assetsphere), Microsoft Office, and media planning tools

    • High-level organizational and time-management skills to manage multiple accounts and sales opportunities

    EDUCATION

    Matric

    • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business, or a related field

    EXPERIENCE

    • 5+ years of experience in media sales, preferably in the out-of-home (OOH) advertising industry
    • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and developing new business
    • Familiarity with OOH advertising formats (e.g., billboards, transit, airports) and digital OOH platforms
    • Experience working with digital out-of-home (DOOH) platforms and programmatic OOH technologies
    • Knowledge of audience measurement tools and metrics in the OOH industry
    • Existing relationships with brands, advertising agencies, or media planners in the OOH space
