Outbound Planner at Belgotex Floors

Key Accountabilities and Outputs:

• The Outbound Planner plans the daily work for the Outbound Team.
• The planner will instruct the Transport company off the number of vehicles is needed for the days loading for each destination.
• The Outbound Planner is responsible for the allocation of work to the forklift drivers that is released by Customer care agents.
• Once all work is picked and staged the Outbound planner checks that all open work is closed for the days loading.
• The Outbound Planer will instruct the forklift driver to start loading the vehicle according to each destination.
• Once the vehicle is loaded the outbound planner will complete the load and print delivery notes for each customer and a load list for material on the vehicle. This is checked by the Outbound supervisor. Copies of the load list and delivery notes are given to security at gatehouse and the transport company.

• Ensure housekeeping is kept to 5S standards.

Requirements

• Grade 12 / Matric with mathematics
• Logistics/Supply Chain qualification is preferable
• Computer Literate on ERP systems
• Minimum 3 -5 years’ experience in an Export Sales environment dealing with air, shipping and road transporters is essential
• Previous experience with loading of containers and dealing with freight forwarders and shipping lines is essential.
• Must have strong knowledge of the different country requirements in terms of documentation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and working on ERP systems is essential.
• Must be flexible in terms of working hours (lunch breaks or staying late to accommodate shipping deadlines), think outside of the box.
• Proven track record in achieving targets.
