    PA to Sales Director

    About the Role:

    Oxford University Press is looking for an experienced Personal Assistant that will be responsible to provide efficient, professional and customer-focused administrative support to the Sales Director and the team.

    The incumbent will report to the Sales Director. This post is based in Cape Town, Goodwood office

    Opportunity

    What you will do:

    • Administrative support services provided to facilitate productivity of the Sales Director and the Sales Team
    • Manage diaries effectively
    • Coordinate travel arrangements and accommodation
    • Coordinate training and events
    • Provide secretarial relief to Senior Managers when required
    • Process payments timeously
    • Process tenders to enhance orders

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Matric with certificate in Office Management or equivalent
    • 3 – 5 years’ secretarial function on an executive level 
    • Experience of diary management/researching and booking of travel and accommodation
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint at intermediate level
    • Excellent verbal and written skills
    • Planning and organising skills
    • Ability to multitask, prioritize and work to deadlines
    • Valid driver’s license (advantageous)

    • Excellent organisational skills, ability to multi-task and organise resources
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to professionally represent the Executive's office
    • Demonstrates complete confidentiality and is seen to be trustworthy.
    • Able to filter information, recognise what is urgent and important and priorities effectively
    • Has a good understanding of the business and able to proactively draw information required from a variety of sources within Oxford University Press and externally
    • Ability to work under pressure and be flexible as part of a small team
    • Attention to detail and deadlines and follows up on all administrative tasks
    • Has a comprehensive understanding of digital platforms
    • Demonstrates flexibility and can adapt to continuous changes; keeps up to date with new technology relevant to being more efficient in the role
    • Is always courteous and friendly and displays a willingness to assist the team with their administrative tasks
