    Partner Program Manager

    JOB OBJECTIVE

    • The Partner Program Manager role is responsible to ensure the overall success of the channel through the implementation of the Partner Program Framework to maximize the potential of the partner network in revenue generation, market penetration, market development, product\application knowledge and customer loyalty by coordinating between the internal team and the partner


    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND FUNCTIONS

    Partner Acquisition

    • Drive and manage the identification of new potential partners together with sales departments
    • Strategically qualify potential partners
    • Co-ordinate the onboarding and training of new partners
    • Maintain the partner strategic landscape and database


    Contracts

    • Co-ordinate the contract agreements for new partners and renewal agreements for existing partners in collaboration with sales and legal departments


    Revenue

    • Ensure all partners are meeting the revenue framework


    Business Plan

    • Ensure that annual business plans are formulated and meet the strategic objective of the partner
    • Ensure quarter business reviews are conducted by account managers and data is tracked for market intelligence


    Marketing Plan

    • Ensure that annual marketing plans are formulated and meet the strategic objective of the partner
    • Ensure quarter business reviews are conducted by account managers and data is tracked for market development


    Training

    • Ensuring the engineering\Product Management teams are making available required training for partner to maintain status
    • Ensure that the partners are fulfilling their obligations to do training


    Discounts

    • Ensure the discounting framework is being honored as set out by business development team


    Rebates

    • Ensure that finance issues rebates earned and communicate these to the partners
    • Ensure partners are using their rebates for the correct purposes


    Market Development Funds (MDF)

    • Ensure that finance issues MDF earned and communicate these to the partners
    • Ensure partners are using their MDF for the correct purposes


    Incentives

    • Co-ordinate incentive schemes with marketing, product and sales teams to help partners exceed targets as well as drive internal strategic objectives


    Market Intelligence

    • Feed partner data to business development teams to enhance our market intelligence data gathering, analysis and strategy development


    Partner Portal

    • Define and execute a partner portal to automate and improve efficiency for managing the partners as well as empowering them to manage themselves


    Performance and relationship management

    • Ensure partners are meeting their obligations
    • Ensure Xylem is fulfilling its obligations
    • Communicate effectively so that all stakeholders are aware of their requirements
    • Track all relevant information to monitor and assess performance
    • Report effectively across all elements of the framework and to all relevant stakeholders
    • Facilitate and drive the execution of the agreed deliverables required for the project with the executive team and stakeholders, thus ensuring the appropriate level of traction of agreed strategic initiatives.
    • Provide appropriate feedback on progress to all stakeholders and
    • Manage risks of underperformance of partners
    • Building good relationships with all stakeholders in order to effectively deliver within the Xylem environment.

    • Ability to analyse information and select best solution from a range of alternative solutions
    • Exceptional attention to detail abilities are required


    Leadership

    • Proactively identify and participate in opportunities that will grow the partner channel.


    Minimum Qualifications and Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration or similar
    • Information technology qualifications are advantageous
    • MS Word, MS Project, MS Excel and Modelling Tools
    • 5+ years experience working with partner programs
    • Experience working in a Tier-1 software company partner organization
    • Experience building or operating in multi-type and multi-tier partner programs that include the world’s leading Global System Integrators, Infrastructure providers, Service Providers, ISVs, Technology partners and the broader Channel Partner community
    • Project management skills and strong attention to details
    • Ability to operate in a dynamic environment with minimal supervision
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills
    • Team player with proven track record in working effectively with cross-functional teams
    • Strong ability to influence at all levels, internally and externally
    • Creative with a drive to build something new
    • Experience working within the engineering sector is highly desired
