To provide efficient and effective management of the Patient Admissions, Reception, Case Management, Clinical Coding, Patient Administration departments.
To ensure excellent patient experience while optimizing the revenue cycle and achieving hospital financial and operational objectives.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
Lead and manage the Patient Services Department, ensuring efficient delivery service from pre-admission to account finalization.
Drive an exceptional patient experience through high standards of customer service and effective complaint resolution.
Oversee Case Management and Clinical Coding to ensure accurate authorizations, compliant coding, and adherence to funder requirements.
Manage the revenue cycle by ensuring accurate admissions, account management, and minimizing revenue leakage.
Monitor departmental performance, quality standards, and implement continuous process improvements.
Build and maintain effective relationships with doctors, nursing staff, finance teams, medical schemes, Ambulance providers and other key stakeholders.
Recruit, develop, coach, and manage the performance of the Patient Services team.
Ensure compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and relevant healthcare regulations.
Support hospital financial objectives by improving reimbursement, billing accuracy, and revenue integrity.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Grade 12 (Matric).
A relevant tertiary qualification in Healthcare Management, Business Management, Finance, Nursing or a related field is advantageous but not essential, provided the incumbent has the required knowledge and relevant private healthcare experience.
ICD and CPT coding.
SKILLS
Strong leadership and administrative skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of admissions, revenue cycle, medical aid funding, billing and patient administration.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Strong analytical, organizational and customer service skills.
