The Patrolperson will be responsible for the application of routine security procedures within a Siyanda Bakgatla Platinum Mines operation to ensure that employees and assets are protected and will also include emergency prevention duties. Personal risk could be a factor in the role due to the need to identify and take action on incidents involving breaches of security.

Quality security services
Apply recognized work and security standards
Conduct allocated patrols or checkpoint duties
Respond to alarms and take appropriate action
Ensure that security tasks are completed to required quality standards
Effectively use allocated equipment such as radios and telephones
Effective twoway communications with team members and visitors
Maintains facilities, equipment and personal image up to a high standard of presentation
Accurately complete role administration requirements
Qualifications
Grade 12
Registered with the PSIRA on Grade C
Experience
Psychometric assessment for firearm users
No criminal record
Pass polygraph test
Firearm competency will be advantageous
Experience as a patrolperson or equivalent will be advantageous
Knowledge and Skills
Communication in english (spoken, written and reading)
