THE MISSION

• You’re the person who makes sure Mama’s people grow, thrive and love what they do 
• As our People Development Manager, you’ll bring Mama’s culture to life through learning, development and meaningful team experiences. You’ll help our people build confidence, sharpen their skills and unlock what they’re capable of — while keeping everything bold, playful and authentically Mama. 
• You don’t just organise training — you create moments that make people better.

HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

Learning & Development Champion

• Design and deliver engaging learning and development programmes aligned with Mama’s culture and business priorities
• Identify development needs across departments and create practical solutions
• Coordinate onboarding, induction and ongoing learning experiences
• Ensure mandatory training and compliance requirements are delivered effectively

Culture & Engagement Builder

• Bring Mama’s personality, values and ways of working to life through people initiatives
• Create fun, relevant and memorable team experiences that build connection and belonging
• Support engagement initiatives, recognition programmes and internal communications
• Keep a close pulse on team sentiment and identify opportunities to strengthen the employee experience

Talent Development Partner

• Support managers in identifying and developing high-potential talent
• Coordinate career development, succession planning and internal mobility initiatives
• Encourage a strong culture of coaching, feedback and continuous development
• Help team members understand opportunities to grow within Mama and the wider Ennismore family

Leadership Coach & Partner

• Partner closely with HODs and managers to understand their people-development priorities
• Coach leaders on effective feedback, performance conversations and team development
• Build managers’ confidence as people leaders
• Provide practical support on individual development plans and performance improvement

Learning & Performance Expert

• Track learning activity, participation, completion and effectiveness
• Monitor training KPIs and engagement metrics
• Gather feedback and continuously improve learning programmes
• Ensure development initiatives deliver meaningful impact for both people and the business

Brand & Culture Connector

• Work closely with People & Culture and operational teams to ensure learning supports Mama’s commercial and guest experience objectives
• Collaborate with external partners and training providers where relevant
• Support wider Ennismore learning and talent initiatives
• Ensure Mama’s culture remains consistent while allowing its personality to shine

Qualifications

• You have strong Learning & Development / People Development experience, ideally within hospitality 
• You’re passionate about helping people grow and genuinely enjoy seeing others succeed
• You’re a confident facilitator who can engage everyone from new joiners to senior leaders
• You bring energy, creativity and personality into your learning experiences 
• You’re comfortable coaching managers and challenging them constructively when needed
• You understand how to translate business needs into practical people-development solutions
• You’re organised and commercially minded, with strong follow-through
• You can balance structure and compliance with creativity and fun
• You’re confident using learning platforms, engagement tools and people-development metrics
• You thrive in fast-paced, high-energy and people-focused environments 

YOUR LITTLE EXTRAS 

• Pre-opening experience? Big plus 
• Experience with lifestyle, luxury or design-led hospitality brands
• Experience developing leadership or emerging-talent programmes
• Strong facilitation and public-speaking skills
• Experience with succession planning, talent reviews or internal mobility
