Job Description
THE MISSION
- You are the commercial brain behind two very different hotels — connecting the dots between Mama Shelter Cape Town & HYDE Johannesburg to turn demand, data and strategy into revenue.
- As our Cluster Revenue Manager, you’ll be the person making sure we’re selling the right room, to the right guest, at the right time, through the right channel — and at the right price.
- You’ll work across both properties, balancing commercial strategy with the personality and positioning of each brand. Two hotels, two markets, one sharp revenue strategy.
HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
Revenue Driver
- Develop and execute revenue strategies across both properties to maximise occupancy, ADR, RevPAR and overall profitability.
Strategy Maker
- Build pricing, inventory and distribution strategies based on demand, market conditions, business mix and hotel performance.
Forecasting Pro
- Own accurate forecasting, budgeting and business planning, translating data into clear commercial actions.
Pricing Expert
- Continuously review rates, restrictions and availability to optimise yield and maximise every revenue opportunity.
Demand Detective
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, events, seasonality and demand patterns across Cape Town and Johannesburg.
Distribution Champion
- Manage channel performance and ensure the right inventory and pricing strategy across OTAs, direct channels, GDS and other distribution platforms.
Commercial Partner
- Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Reservations and Operations to align commercial priorities and maximise total hotel revenue.
Performance Storyteller
- Turn complex revenue data into clear insights and recommendations for hotel leadership and key stakeholders.
Opportunity Hunter
- Identify gaps, trends and opportunities across both markets and proactively adjust strategies to capture incremental revenue.
Cluster Collaborator
- Bring consistency to the cluster while recognising that Mama Shelter Cape Town and HYDE Johannesburg each have their own positioning, guest profile and commercial opportunities.

- You have solid experience in hotel revenue management
- You understand the full revenue cycle — from forecasting and pricing to distribution and optimisation
- You’re commercially minded and naturally curious about what the numbers are really telling you
- You’re confident working with data and turning insights into action
- You’re comfortable challenging assumptions and making recommendations based on facts
- You can manage priorities across two properties and different markets
- You build strong relationships and collaborate naturally with Sales, Marketing and Operations
- You’re organised, analytical and comfortable working to deadlines
- You stay calm under pressure and can adapt quickly when market conditions change
- You have the confidence to communicate your strategy and influence senior stakeholders
