Current registration with South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC) as a pharmacist.
1 to 2 years’ experience in a retail pharmacy or a private hospital setting
Computer proficiency – SAP and Unisolv
Minimum Duties:
Dispense medication according to Good Pharmacy Practice guidelines and advise patient on the use of generic medicine preparations.
Issue drugs as per Group Standard Operating Practices.
Charge relevant ward, check stock on hand and physically deliver or collect as per agreement with the Unit Manager.
Responsible for full stock control function; including levels, counts, expirees, formulary, etc.
Take charge of junior pharmacy staff members.
Deliver a customer-focused pharmacy experience in as efficient a manner as possible.
Identify and prevent financial risks to the organization by adhering to Company policies and procedures, for example the collection of levies and private patient cash payments on dispensing.
