Planning Liason - Houghton at SBV Services (Pty) Ltd.

Description

• Provide support to SBV Cash Centres on forecasting and planning activities.
• Manage Strategic relationship between SBV and Industry Administrator.
• Manage the development and enhancement of planning skills at cash centres.
• Coordinate the change management requirements through support to Cash centres during roll out phases of system changes impacting forecasting and planning.
• Provide training and support to the SBV cash centres on all planning and forecasting activities. Manage adhoc requests from Industry Administrator and make decisions on applicable Cash Centre activities to drive delivery of approved requests.

Responsible for providing various reports & statistics.

• Compile & generate monthly and quarterly reports including graphs for various meetings
• Track and capture settlement outages and incidents, and report on Operational queries resolved.
• Lead monthly SLA sessions with Industry Administrator and SBV Cash Operations
• Compile reports to highlight trends and links to adherence or non-adherence to agreed SLAs with Industry Administrator and distribute to stakeholders.
• Track of all activities which could result in penalties from the SARB and provide feedback to all concerned stakeholders.
• Provide unsorted notes and coin management information for use by Divisional Manager, Industry Specialist, Head Business Support and General Regional Managers on a monthly basis.
• Provide adhoc report requirements to aid Divisional Manager or Industry Specialist in Industry/ client engagements as and when required.

Responsible for continuous improvement and analysis on issues impacting SBV planning activities.

• Manage the relationship between SBV Cash centres and Industry Administrator planning teams for feedback and solution enhancements.
• Review and update SLAs and standard operating procedures for collaborative forecasting and planning with Industry Administrator, as and when required.
• Report on planning effectiveness and alignment linked to settlement outages and failures as well as alignment to industry standards.
• Lead solution development efforts that best address SBV and Participating Bank needs.
• Facilitate training of Cash centre staff and support centres with training linked to changes on systems (ISA, Trinity etc.) linked to forecasting and planning activities
• Prepare and draft documents for the Learning Academy to implement formal training linked to system changes.

Coordinate and provide input on business planning reviews.

• Provide input into strategic planning engagements linked to long term demand trends as well as capacity strategies.
• Provide input on demand and capacity planning for period under review (Notes, Coin & CIT)
• Identify possible supply issues and communicate such to stakeholders (SBV Cash centres and Industry Administrator)
• .Buffer layer for capacity impact due to changes and cancelations to be dealt as escalations with resolution between parties involved on a daily basis.
• Review of SBV system cancelation requests linked to planning changes or cancelations and provide Cash centre with guidance as well as One Time Pin (OTP) required to cancel transactions
• Manage and administrate the SBV system cancelation process inclusive of user setup and changes
• Coordinate coin planning function at a central level for secondary coin movements on a daily basis
• Coordinate unsorted note function at a central level for oversight on inter centre movements with ratification from Divisional Manager Cash Processing and Head PMC.

Provide guidance and support linked to PCH rule adherence in the SBV Cash Centre environment.

• Manage queries linked to Payment Clearing House (PCH) rule adherence.
• Resolve disputes linked to PCH rule adherence and provide feedback to Industry Administrator for communication with participating banks. Submit float adjustment documentation to the Industry Administrator on a weekly basis.
• Train and guide the SBV Cash centres on PCH rule adherence.
• Liaise with Industry Administrator to identify centres that are not complying to PCH rules
• Perform regular Payment Clearing House audits and address non-compliance with Cash centre until resolution.

Perform adhoc projects and Support.

• Support to Float and Administration Specialist with Industry Administrator engagements as well as attending to Float calculation requirements, etc. Live the organization culture within one’s center.

Requirements

• With qualification: 4 years’ experience in Business Support Role, Business Management Role or Cash Centre Planning Role
• Without qualification: 6 years’ experience in Business Support Role, Business Management Role or Cash Centre Planning Role.
• Cash centre background or experience in accounting role with cash processing industry
• Expert knowledge on SBV and or Bank cash centre operation procedures and policies
• Experience in managing float and inventory holdings
• Accounting systems will be advantageous

Minimum requirement: Education

• National Diploma/Degree in Financial or Business Management qualification or Industrial Engineering qualification OR Matric with extensive experience in a similar role.
