Plant Assistant (Brandkop) at Vaal Central Water

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Cleaning and maintenance of reservoir terrain, including guest house and chlorine room.
• Assist with executing winter maintenance program tasks.
• Painting and minor maintenance work as and when required.
• Follow the correct procedure for opening and closing valves.
• Ensure the correct capturing of meter readings.
• Ensure correct interpretation of meter readings.
• To perform standby duty as and when required.
• Perform all as directed from time to time.
• Observe Health and Safety protocols and procedures.
• Comply with policy on leave, overtime, and attendance registers submissions.
• Cleaning Pump stations and other outside stations.
• Testing free chlorine in treated water.
• Mixing lime and other chemicals as and when required.
• Housekeeping.

 MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Grade 12
• Minimum of 1 years’ experience in the water treatment field
• Valid Drivers’ License
• Problem solving
