Bilnor Staffing Solution's client in the water treatment sector is seeking a PLANT MANAGER to join their team in Worcester, Western Cape
The Plant Manager position is required to manage and implement operations systems, processes and monitoring activities for the operations of the treatment plant.
**South African Citizens and those living in the area will be preferred**
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
Oversee and manage Production & Maintenance teams within the area of responsibility.
Manage production & maintenance team utilization and performance / output.
Responsible for plant performance and Compliance to contractual quality and quantity KPI’s
Ensure compliance to company and Client safety standards.
Take accountability for Safety Performance in accordance with the MHSA/OSHA legal appointment.
Maintain effective administration and control procedures to meet performance objectives, including financial control, HR/IR, procurement and stock management.
Continuous improvement and optimization of processes.
Implement and maintain Financial Control with Profit & Loss accountability for the plant(s)
Monitoring and detail records and reporting on all aspects of the processes, ongoing projects.
Ensure efficient resource management of employees to ensure they can meet the performance objectives required of them.
Ensure client satisfaction by delivering a professional and high-quality service.
Client feedback meetings and reporting as required.
Compile Plant Reports and attend client meetings as required.
Monitor plant health and pro-actively intervene to ensure plant availability is optimized.
Effective reporting to the Operations Manager of the area
Qualifications: B.Eng or BTech in Chemical Engineering (Chemical Engineering Qualification is preferred. Civil and Mechanical will be considered depending on relevant experience)
Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in advanced water treatment.
Experience in anaerobic digestion, MBR, RO, UF, media filtration will be an advantage.
Previous experience in managing staff is required.
Relevant management experience
Understanding of plant health and managing water treatment assets.
Proven record of satisfactory prior performance
Computer skills: Word, Excel, Power Point and e-mail
Effective communication and Interpersonal skills
Skills in planning, attention to detail and process troubleshooting
