    Electrical Maintenance Supervisor (Water Treatment)

    • Bilnor Staffing Solutions' client in the water treatment sector is seeking a qualified and experienced Electrical Maintenance Supervisor for position in Witbank. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager at EWRP, this position is required to provide effective Planning, organising, and Execution of Electrical & Condition Monitoring (E & CM) Trade resources, technical supervision  of the maintenance team & maintenance support services to the Operation & Maintenance of the Emalahleni Water Reclamation Plant (EWRP), Emalahleni, Mpumalanga.

    REPONSIBILITIES

    • Ensure application of and adherence to the Maintenance Information system (SAP) and ensure all assets are clearly marked and controlled with the Asset Register.
    • Supervisory management, scheduling and coordination of an E, M, I & CM maintenance team w.r.t performing preventive, corrective and condition-based predictive maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs.
    • Ensure that equipment for preventive maintenance, predictive vibration analysis, IR scanning, and performance evaluation (i.e. compressors, motors, gearboxes, pumps, machinery and assemblies) as per the preventive maintenance schedule and corrective ad-hoc requirements are performed, reported, recorded, actioned and closed out.
    • Assist in the monitoring and submission of detailed monthly reporting on E, M, I & CM equipment condition, preventive and corrective work, both performed and outstanding and all relevant contractual/project aspects & requirements.
    • Ensure adherence to established communication lines and reporting requirements.
    • Apply sound human resource principles, administration and control to meet performance objectives.
    • Ensure prompt completion and submission of completed PM schedules, Job Cards and timesheets and relevant departmental documentation.
    • Ensure safety and housekeeping meet the standards as set out in terms of the Occupational Health and
    • Safety Act at a high level and comply with all applicable ISO system requirements and ensure continual improvement of these systems.
    • Ensure that specified, approved and contractual required stock levels are kept and controlled at all times.
    • High standard of Monitoring and Reporting on electro-mechanical plant condition.
    • Assist with specifications, sourcing, quality control of equipment required/refurbished/repaired, as well as pricing, tendering and implementation on new electrical, mechanical and civil installations.
    • Manage and attend to breakdowns and prioritise jobs promptly
    • Supervision, management, training and coordination of the maintenance team.

    QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

    • N4 Qualified Millwright/Electrician recognised Electrical apprenticeship & Trade test (section 13)
    • Medium Voltage qualification and MV switching experience are mandatory
    • Minimum 3 years’ experience as Maintenance Supervisor
    • Proven track record of applying and controlling maintenance management systems
    • Experienced and knowledgeable in the maintenance and operations of industrial water treatment plants
    • Strong electrical background to analyse and troubleshoot accurately, and quickly give support and guidance to artisans
    • Strong understanding of the OHS and MHS Act regulations and practices.
    • Experienced in the application of Root Cause Analysis methods

    • Exposure to all types of weather and temperature conditions.
    • Working in confined spaces and at heights.
    • Work and/or walk on various types of surfaces, including uneven surfaces.
    • Physical ability to perform moderate to heavy lifting, standing and walking for prolonged periods of time, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching and operating motorised equipment.

    Site Supervisor

    • Bilnor Staffing Solutions' client in the water treatment sector is seeking a qualified and experienced Site Supervisor at the company's operations at Simba (PepsiCo) in Parow. The incumbent will report to the Operations Manager and will be responsible for supervising and managing plant operations for the Primary Treatment Area (Screens, EQ, Clarifier, DAF) and Secondary Treatment (MBR, RO) and all on-site activities. The contract will be linked to the contract with the client which is currently running for 12 months.

    KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

    • Ensure effective management and operations of the Wastewater Treatment Works in terms of monitoring and controlling processes and product quality to ensure all contractual obligations and performance targets are met.
    • Monitor and optimize the process units & ancillary services and equipment in accordance with the Requirements and Quality Specifications as per SOP / O&M manuals / Training / Contractual Requirements.
    • Oversee the performance of operation and maintenance staff.
    • Confirm and carry out all required process adjustments on all related equipment as per the SOP / O&M manuals / Specifications / Performance Requirements.
    • Prepare and forward operational performance reports to Management referring to statistical data and qualitative information gathered through investigations and inspections.
    • Manage compliance with KPI’s.
    • Conduct fault finding activities and root cause analyses.
    • Compile shift rosters, time sheets and control overtime.
    • Ensure that housekeeping is maintained, which will include cleaning of floors, screens, equipment and sensors.
    • Perform any other duty as requested by the Plant Manager.

    Competency Profile:

    • National Diploma in Water Treatment or equivalent qualification (a degree in Chemical Engineering, or equivalent qualification will be an advantage)
    • More than 3 years’ experience in a supervisory position.
    • More than 5 years of Industrial water treatment experience (especially in processes such as clarification, centrifuges, membrane filtration, biological processes and RO).
    • Computer literacy: MS Office essential.
    • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work as an integral part of a team
    • Good literacy, numeracy skills and accurate & detailed record keeping required

    Plant Manager (Water Treatment)

    • The Plant Manager position is required to manage and implement operations systems, processes and monitoring activities for the operations of the treatment plant.

    Diesel Mechanic x 2

    • Bilnor Staffing Solutions' client in the mining sector is looking for 2x qualified and experienced Diesel Mechanics to join their team in Steelpoort LP.  South African Citizens and those living in the area will have preference.

    Minimum Requirements: 

    • Grade 12 and N2 Mechanical Engineering
    • Valid Trade Certificate Section 13 or 26 (D) as a Diesel Mechanic

    Environmental Management Coordinator

    • Bilnor Staffing Solutions' client in the mining industry is looking for an experienced ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT COORDINATOR to join their team based in Delmas, Mpumalanga.

    • The successful candidate will ensure adherence to the approved Environmental Management Programmes and Environmental authorisations, Water Use Licenses, and other applicable South African environmental legislation. This role requires strong on-site presence, contractor engagement, and proactive monitoring to ensure environmental performance and regulatory compliance.

    Key responsibilities:

    • Monitor mining and contractor compliance with approved Environmental Management Programmes, Environmental Authorizations and Water Use License conditions.
