Plant Operator (Brewelskloof Quarry) at Afrimat

Minimum Qualifications / Experience:

• Minimum Grade 12
• Be literate & functionally numerate
• Must have good communication skills.
• 2-4 years’ experience in a similar role/ environment.
• Must have the ability to work as part of a team and in a high-pressure environment
• Pre-employment medical required.
• Medically fit in terms of the Mine Health and Safety Act

Duties and Responsibilities (Not limited to):

• Ensure for the basic maintenance, safety, and efficient operation of the plant
• Operate the plant according to its desired capacity and specifications.
• Perform basic maintenance and repairs on the plant, while ensuring that the product is produced according to the right quality specifications.
• Work safely, while always maintaining a clean and neat working environment.
• Report any maintenance related problems and production related issues to the immediate superior.
• Adhere to Quality Assurance responsibility during the production process by constantly monitoring and evaluating that a computerized maintenance strategy is employed to ensure absolute reliability and minimum down time.
• Acknowledge that Management may allocate additional tasks when tasks cannot be completed on a standard allocated job.
• Carry out instructions given by superior.
• Be willing to work overtime as and when required.
