Plate Mounter - Pinetown at Tetra Pak

Job Summary

Mounting of printing plates according to the Production Orders, Dismounting of printing plates from sleeves, management of printing sleeves

What you will do

• Follow production safety rules
• Work according to existing procedures/standards. Continuously improve these procedures/standards as required
• Retrieve orders from the production system
• Mount printing plates on time and in full with zero quality defects
• Arrange for servicing of the mounting machine(s) and other equipment
• Ensure that there is sufficient stock of mounting tape and other consumables
• Ensure that there is sufficient stock of printing sleeves that meet the quality control procedures
• Execute AM activities including completion of CILT tasks
• Identify anomalies and raise tags
• Remove tags by correcting anomalies
• Participate in WCM teams
• Create OPLs and SOPs

We believe you have

• N6 Technical diploma and/or
• Flexographic plate mounter skills programme (Printing SA or equivalent)
• High attention to detail
• Able to perform tasks autonomously
• Understand the printing process
• Understand the plate making process
• Understanding of WCM 
• Understanding of Quality Parameters
• Ability to work under pressure
• Ability to work as a team
• Ability to be agile and respond rapidly to changes
