Platform Engineer I - Stellenbosch at Capitec Bank

What you will be doing

You will build, implement and maintain resilient, scalable cost-effective and high performing Cloud developer solutions that will assist Capitec to become the best bank in the world through the application of strong AWS and IaC skills

Minimum Requirements:

• A relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology
• Experience in Agile/DevOps environments and CI/CD tools
• Develop and support infrastructure for microservices-based architectures.
• 3 - 5 years’ experience in Infrastructure, Software Development, DevOps or Security
• 3 - 5 years design and implementation of highly available, enterprise-scale Cloud infrastructure.
• 2+ years in AWS, Engineering or Infrastructure
• 2+years’ previous experience with managing a CI system (Jenkins, Gitlab CI, Automic)
• Experience with scripting and provisioning tools (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation).

Our Ideal Candidate has

• Design and deploy highly available, enterprise-scale Cloud infrastructure.
• Strong design and troubleshooting skills on AWS (Azure or GCP is a plus).
• Enhance build and release processes through automation.
• Develop and support infrastructure for microservices-based architectures.
• Knowledge of authentication and authorization technologies (LDAP, Kerberos, AD, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML).
• Understanding of Cloud Security technologies and best practices.
• Understanding of networking in Cloud environments.
