Minimum qualification Grade 10 or equivalent qualification with 1 to 2 years’ experience in a hospital environment. Must be able to read and write. Good verbal and writing skills, sound communication skills. Experience in Porters duties will be an added as advantage. Be time sensible and relieve on time
Duties :
Accompany and transport patients to and from various areas. Assist Nursing staff with the transfer of patients onto beds/trolleys. Deliver medical documentation to the wards.
Assist with the shifting of medical equipment. Responsible of cleaning of wheelchairs and patient trolleys. Transportation of corpses to the mortuary and attend to relevant mortuary activities.
Collect and count wheelchairs and trolleys daily. Collect wheelchairs from all service points, including the entrance and the main gate. Good handling of equipment and report breakages.
Be prepared to work shifts. Be prepared to work under pressure and stressful environment. Act as a mortuary attendant when required. Perform other duties as may be assigned from time to time
