Pricing Analyst - Midrand at SC Johnson

Overview:

You will be part of a wider/expanding EMEA Shared Service Centre (SSC) team that are based in the UK, South Africa, Egypt and Turkey. The whole of the SSC is around 230 people across 3 different functions - Finance, Credit & Collections and Supply Chain. We support over 20 countries and speak around 40 different languages. The multiple teams support our commercial businesses across the EMEA region with their Collections, Resolutions, Cash Allocation and Pricing requirements

About the role

• This role will be part of the Pricing team responsible for managing the invoice pricing for all of SC Johnson’s customers across the Region. You will set up prices in SAP on timely manner (base price and promotions) and monitor price discrepancies on orders and fix them with sales inputs before invoicing. In addition, you will adhere to the SOAR controls, assist in generating pricing statistics reports and pricing claim aggregation

Responsibilities:

• Ensure pricing requests (base price & promotions) received by commercial/finance stakeholders in the markets are updated promptly and accurately in SAP and applied to orders.
• Price discrepancies process: Monitor on daily basis the price discrepancies on orders via V.25 process and fix them with commercial inputs before orders are invoiced and Analyze price discrepancies and identify the root causes and address them with commercial stakeholders.
• Work closely with the Lead to monitor and analyze the level of invoice price accuracy by market and customer (“invoice price defect rate”). Identify and address the root causes for defects in invoice pricing, in collaboration with commercial stakeholders and Resolutions team
• Build strong cross-functional collaboration with SSC Resolutions team and with SSC Virtual Associate Managers.
• Drive continuous improvement of process and automation initiatives.
• Ensure the compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley control requirements for pricing processes.
• Support external and internal audit requests when required

Experience you’ll bring:

• Fluency in English
• Good experience in an accounting environment or accounts receivable
• Previous experience within a service center or a back-office environment.
• Strong Excel skills with good analytical and numerical skills
