Senior State Accountant Internal Control Ref No SD/1/25/25/I at North West: Department Of Human Settlements

REQUIREMENTS :

• Grade 12. National Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree (NQF Level 6/7) as recognised by SAQA in Internal Auditing /Financial Accounting / Management Accounting.
• 3-4 years relevant experience in a Financial Accounting/ Internal control/Internal Audit environment.
• Valid driver’s Licence.
• Competencies: An In-depth Knowledge and understanding of relevant prescripts and process governing public services such as PSR and PSA.
• Knowledge of Supply Chain prescripts and frameworks.
• Treasury regulations, PFMA, Financial Manuals. Internal Control and Risk Management Methodologies & Strategies.
• Knowledge of management links of Government Financial Systems (BAS, PERSAL & WALKER).
• Policy development, interpretation and implementation.
• Computer literacy. Sound planning and organising skills.
• High level of reliability and commitment.
• Basic written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Report writing and Presentation skills.
