Principal Clerk: Payroll (x 2) at Overstrand Local Municipality

Requirements:

• Grade 12 (or equivalent NQF4 qualification) with Mathematics or Accounting
• 2-5 years’ experience in a similar work environment.
• Computer literacy in MS Office (MS Word, MS Excel) and payroll systems
• Communication skills in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape

Key performance areas:

• Checking and processing of documentation regarding earnings and deductions to ensure that the salary and wage payments are correct
• Ensuring that all employees’ wage documentation is correct
• Processing third party documentation and schedules received.
• Salaries and wages requests/enquiries
• Printing of monthly pay slips.
• Maintains registers and access records of payroll related transactional processes, documentation, instructions and correspondence.
