Key Roles and Responsibilities:

• Development - Design & create ETL processes as needed to meet business requirements and ensure successful data migration on multiple projects
• Perform Data Profiling, Assessment, and Data Cleansing as required to meet data migration goals
• Testing – The individual should test their own routines and applications to ensure alignment with stakeholder requirements as well as assist other team members with faulty or erroneous routines
• Implementation - Works with Data Migration Lead, Project and Technical teams to assist deployment of data into environments.
• Support – Supports all data implementations that have been deployed in production if required.
• Mentor/coach - Acts as a mentor and shares knowledge within the team members
• Principal Data Migration Developer have expert knowledge on data migration best practice design which enables them to act as trusted advisors to internal clients.
• Principal Data Migration Developer can work with abstract concepts and have sound problem solving and analytical skills. They can communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders, including the technical teams and clients. They demonstrate impeccable attention to detail and work well within a team environment. They have good knowledge of project management principles and they ensure that projects with clients are executed accordingly.
• Principal Data Migration Developer display strong client service orientation and strive for client engagement. They continuously contribute to the improvement of internal effectiveness by contributing to the improvement of current methodologies, processes and tools.

Academic Qualifications and Certifications:

• Typically requires extensive related experience with a Bachelor’s or equivalent degree; or extensive experience
• Relevant SAP and/or SAP Data Services Certification beneficial
• Agile related certifications preferable.
• Worked in extreme programming environment

Required Experience:

• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in data migration and / or SAP data modelling
• Minimum 5 large scale end-to-end data migration deployments
• 10+ years’ experience with SQL scripting
• Knowledge of and/or experience with SAP Data Migration Tooling such as: SAP Data Services, LSMW, BAPI’s, IDocs
• Substantial experience working in a multi-team environment across multiple geographies.
• Agile execution work experience
