RPO Recruitment's client is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Process Manager to join their team in the mining industry in the Northern Cape. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing all processes related to ore processing and extraction in the mining operation.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement strategies to optimize processing operations, improve efficiency, and reduce costs.
• Manage and lead a team of process engineers and technicians to ensure smooth operations and achieve production targets.
• Monitor and analyze process data to identify opportunities for process improvements and implement necessary changes.
• Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and other departments to ensure continuous operation of processing facilities.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures, safety protocols, and quality control measures in line with industry standards.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations in the mining operation.
• Plan and oversee capital projects related to process improvements, expansions, or upgrades.
• Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on production performance, process optimization, and any issues or concerns.
• Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
• Train and mentor staff on best practices, new technologies, and safety protocols.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Metallurgy, or related field.
• Management Development Programme
• MBA or equivalent qualification is recommended
• 10 years experience in a production environment
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a managerial role within the mining industry, in surface plant processing.
• Proven experience & knowledge in Rail/Road Ore Transportation including legislations.
• Ability to hold Section 3.1(a) of MHSA Legal appointment
• Strong technical knowledge of mineral processing methods, equipment, and technologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think critically to resolve complex issues.
