Product Application Engineer - Digital Energy at Schneider Electric

Key Responsibilities:

• Provides technical support to the field sales force by bringing deep or specific product and application knowledge in order to:
• Understand customer design
• Configure & put Schneider products in the customer specifications, convert an existing specification and close a deal
• Act as a Technical Consultant to our customers to find optimal solutions for their needs.
• Generate decisions on technical feasibility in coordination with customers, Sales & Marketing as well as our specialists in Anglophone Africa
• Consult with customers to create custom-fit solutions and act as Technical Advisor.
• Become Sales Lead in proposals and strategies for Energy Management opportunities, products and solutions.
• Present entire system solutions as well as individual products to customers and Consultants.
• Plan and implement training and coaching for customers, consultants and sales teams.

• Capable of engaging in hands-on work that demands focus and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
• Alternatively, extensive industry experience will be considered in Building Automation / HVAC Controls
• Strong technical and commercial skills.
• Applicable work experience with software, and/or electronic engineering.
• Software aptitude/awareness is important as solutions are configurable products.
• Any experience in programming, configuration software development would be a benefit.
