Product Manager – Credit and Fraud at Salt South Africa

The Role

• The company is looking for a Product Manager to lead the Credit Risk and Fraud product domain, focusing on how customers are assessed, how fraud is detected and prevented, and how risk decisions are automated and improved over time.
• You will own the roadmap for key risk and fraud capabilities, helping the business balance responsible lending, strong fraud protection, and a seamless customer experience.
• Working closely with engineering, data science, risk, compliance, and operations teams, you’ll drive product initiatives that reduce losses, improve decisioning speed, and strengthen the overall credit platform.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

• Owning the product vision and roadmap for credit risk and fraud capabilities
• Identifying opportunities to improve credit scoring, decisioning, identity verification, and fraud detection
• Working closely with data science and risk teams to improve models, policies, and signals
• Leading cross-functional teams to deliver impactful product improvements
• Defining clear success metrics such as fraud detection rates, approval rates, and credit performance
• Launching new solutions that reduce manual review, improve automation, and enhance decision quality
• Continuously analysing data and performance to refine and optimise the product
