We are seeking a well-rounded, Senior Product Manager to lead the creation and launch of innovative, customer-centric products that directly impact the operational efficiency, profitability, and regulatory compliance for asset managers globally. You'll be responsible for understanding our customers' evolving needs in this specialised domain and translating them into successful product strategies and execution. This role will be within the Reporting Space, focussing on document production, automation and document storage.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Deeply understanding the asset management landscape: Conducting user research with asset managers, analysing market trends, and identifying unmet needs related to operational efficiency, profitability, and regulatory compliance. This includes understanding the specific regulatory challenges they face (e.g., MiFID II, GDPR, etc.)
Utilising Design-Led Thinking: Employing design-led principles to understand user needs, explore potential solutions, and create user-centered products. This includes conducting user interviews, creating prototypes, and testing designs with target users supported by our product design team
Defining and prioritising product roadmaps: Developing a clear product vision and strategy focused on solving key challenges for asset managers, such as streamlining workflows, automating processes, reducing costs, and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements. Prioritising features and releases based on their potential impact on these three key areas
Agile Methodology: Working within an Agile framework in collaboration with the Agile Delivery Leads, participating in planning and retrospectives to ensure efficient development and continuous improvement
Driving product execution: Managing the entire product lifecycle from ideation to launch, ensuring timely delivery and high quality, while always keeping the focus on the impact on operational efficiency, profitability, and regulatory compliance
Collaborating cross-functionally: Working closely with engineering, design, marketing, implementation and client services teams to bring products to market successfully. Understanding compliance is especially crucial in this heavily regulated industry
Measuring and iterating: Tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) related to operational efficiency (e.g., transaction processing time, error rates), profitability (e.g., cost savings, revenue increase), and regulatory compliance (e.g., audit findings, compliance violations). Using data-driven insights to improve future iterations and demonstrate the product's impact on these critical metrics
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Domain Expertise (Asset Management): Deep understanding of the asset management industry, including key players, market trends, regulatory landscape, and the specific challenges faced by asset managers
Communication & Collaboration: Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to effectively present to and influence diverse audiences, including senior stakeholders and technical teams. Demonstrated ability to foster collaborative relationships across departments
Strategic Thinking & Execution: Highly self-motivated and driven, with a proven ability to translate business needs and user insights into actionable product strategies. A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement
Requirements Elicitation & Prioritization: Strong analytical skills and experience in eliciting, documenting, and prioritizing requirements using tools like Jira. Ability to confidently push back on out-of-scope or unreasonable requests, clearly articulating the rationale behind decisions
Product Discovery & Design: Experience with design-led thinking and user research methodologies, including user interviews, prototyping, and usability testing. Proficiency with wireframing and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Axure) to create user-centered designs. Experience collaborating with design teams (Note: Combining wireframing and design tools here makes sense as they often go hand-in-hand)
Agile Product Development: Solid understanding of Agile principles and practices, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives. Experience working within an Agile development environment
Data Analysis & Decision-Making: Strong analytical skills and experience using data to inform product decisions. Ability to define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and use data to measure product success
Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with software development methodologies and technologies relevant to web applications (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and data visualisation tools. Ability to effectively communicate with engineering teams
