The Product Manager will be responsible for effective management of the Product Range in South Africa and neighbouring countries.
Moreover, the role includes responsibilities for product pricing, stock forecasting and demand management to ensure optimal product availability and inventory control.
Develop product strategies and support the sales team to implement these strategies in line with customers’ needs and company goals.
Manage pricing, in collaboration with the sales team and Finance, to adapt to local market needs.
Maximize market infiltration by actively participating in trade shows and other key events within the dialysis industry.
Plan and execute product launches, including marketing strategies, sales training, clinical evaluations and customer education.
Manage and share the product lifecycle to ensure continuous customer satisfaction.
Ensure all products comply with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Register medical device products with the relevant regulatory bodies as required.
Forecast stock in collaboration with team members.
Develop training materials (internal and external) to adapt to market needs.
Ensure collaboration between internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth operation the product portfolio.
Oversee the documentation of processes, and problem solving related to the product.
Conduct regular performance reviews to assess the Product Specialist's effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields such as: Life Sciences (e.g., Biology, Biochemistry, Medical Technology)
Minimum of 5 years of experience in the healthcare or medical device industry in a similar role.
Experience with regulatory compliance (e.g., SAHPRA, ISO standards and BOMRA)
Dialysis knowledge would be advantageous.
A postgraduate qualification in business, marketing, or healthcare management is advantageous.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team.
