Job Description

• The Product Manager will be responsible for effective management of the Product Range in South Africa and neighbouring countries.
• Moreover, the role includes responsibilities for product pricing, stock forecasting and demand management to ensure optimal product availability and inventory control.
• Develop product strategies and support the sales team to implement these strategies in line with customers’ needs and company goals.
• Manage pricing, in collaboration with the sales team and Finance, to adapt to local market needs.
• Maximize market infiltration by actively participating in trade shows and other key events within the dialysis industry.
• Plan and execute product launches, including marketing strategies, sales training, clinical evaluations and customer education.
• Manage and share the product lifecycle to ensure continuous customer satisfaction.
• Ensure all products comply with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Register medical device products with the relevant regulatory bodies as required.
• Forecast stock in collaboration with team members.
• Develop training materials (internal and external) to adapt to market needs.
• Ensure collaboration between internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth operation the product portfolio.
• Oversee the documentation of processes, and problem solving related to the product.
• Conduct regular performance reviews to assess the Product Specialist's effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields such as: Life Sciences (e.g., Biology, Biochemistry, Medical Technology)
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the healthcare or medical device industry in a similar role.
• Experience with regulatory compliance (e.g., SAHPRA, ISO standards and BOMRA)
• Dialysis knowledge would be advantageous.
• A postgraduate qualification in business, marketing, or healthcare management is advantageous.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team.
