    Sales Consultant - Cardio Thoracic Medical Devices | JHB

    Job Description

    • Sales representative in Public and Private Accounts in the assigned territory. Share and service current business thereby, resulting in achieving and exceeding both sales and profitability goals for our clients' business.
    • Clinical and product knowledge are a strong advantage, supported by advanced planning, organizational, project management, and negotiation skills. Excellent written and verbal communication, combined with strong interpersonal and influencing abilities, are essential.
    • Candidates should demonstrate knowledge of marketing analysis, practices, strategies, and planning, along with strong analytical, organizational, decision-making, and business/financial acumen. The ability to work independently as well as in teams, exercising sound judgement and discretion, is key.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Responsible for the sales of the company’s entire product portfolio.
    • We are looking for our new salesperson to develop new business as well as maintaining and growing existing business and expanding of sales within the assigned territory.
    • Scheduling and attending appointments and theatre lists with existing and potential customers.

    • Requesting and following up on quotations.
    • General administration associated with the position
    • Ability to work extended hours the nature of our product portfolio is that of critical care Cardio-Thoracic theatre lists and cell saving cases – these can mean support needed after conventional business hours and weekends on call as per a predetermined weekend on call list is required.
    • Occasional work on weekends at congresses and educational workshops will be required
    • Most of the sales and support takes place in the theatre environment and in ICU setting so CRICE certification with sterile field is mandatory as well knowledge and understanding of how to conduct oneself in this environment

    Requirements

    • Driver’s licence; Grade 12 (Matric) minimum.
    • Relevant degree/diploma advantageous; medical or marketing qualifications a definite plus.
    • Medical industry experience preferred, especially in Vascular Critical Care or similar roles.
    • Knowledge of target customer groups and existing relationships advantageous.
    • Computer literacy required, with proficiency in MS Office (Excel level 2+, Word).

    National Sales & Marketing Manager : Nuclear, CMN, Radio-Pharmacy

    Job Description

    • Responsible for the developing, measuring and implementation and execution of the sales and marketing strategy, by working with the Business Unit Manager and the sales teams, resulting in achieving and exceeding both sales and profitability goals for the Nuclear, Radio-pharmacy and CMN Industrial Divisions.
    • Drive optimisation of the educational activities and address educational needs of employees and customers for the portfolio.

    • Expense claims handed in on timeously per the schedule received from Finance with correct cost allocations;

    Manage Sales and Marketing activities:

    Marketing:

    • Ensure implementation of the yearly strategic marketing plans are done on time;
    • Accurate sales budgeting per territory per Division;

    • Monthly in-field visits with Sales Consultants;
    • Facilitation that Product training is done and evaluation of knowledge of Sales Consultants to allow effective selling.
    • Evaluation, analyses and report on Competitors’ products, strategies and driving appropriate business responses;

    Market access process

    • Responsible for product registration processes including:
    • Nappi coding;
    • Funding approval from all Medical aids;
    • Registration and approval with Hospital Groups.

    Training

    • Maintain a high level of motivation to ensure marketing function is well directed;
    • Preparation and conducting of presentations at Sales Consultants meeting and management meetings;
    • Assist Sales Consultants reps with product queries and/or technical/clinical application information;
    • Manage your portfolio by living the company values;
    • Identify and implement educational events for customers to achieve growth;
    • Manage the implementation of workshop activities with sales team and customers;
    • Identify workshops and educational events that will deliver a ROI and result in product growth;
    • Participate in company business and sales meetings and provide input to senior management concerning outcome on all training events;

    Administrative Duties

    • Ensure all product and marketing activities comply with legal and ethical standards;
    • Managing business expenses within the marketing budget provided;
    • Adhere to any legal or medical requirements and inform management of changed requirements;
    • Submit monthly report to senior management. Report on variance between actual and budget and implement corrective strategies.

    Stock management

    • This entails managing the stock dashboard per Division monthly and stay within directed ratios;
    • Stock rotation and slow-moving identification and returns;
    • Manage stock ordering process weekly from supplier;
    • Accurate forecasting in stock – no stock outages unless due to supplier issues;
    • Management and approval of consignment stock allocated to customers;
    • Management and approval of boot stock allocated to sales consultants;
    • Should a procedural kit procedure be implemented in the Divisions – the responsibility of managing this and evaluating the effectiveness of it remains your responsibility;
    • Attend monthly stock meetings with senior management.

    Clear responsibility and accountability for the product and sales management of the following Divisions:

    • Nuclear, Radio-pharmacy and CMN Industrial
    • Responsible for the management of Key Account Managers and Sales Consultants.

    Requirements

    Qualifications

    Experience Required:

    • Previous Marketing & Sales Manager Experience managing a portfolio in Medical Devices;
    • Medical Background is a requirement;
    • Knowledge of the mentioned portfolio role players and industry needed;

    Area of Responsibility
