Develop and execute the product roadmap for supply chain software projects.
Working cross-functionally with engineering, design, operations, and executive teams to bring about product enhancements that will move the needle on our key performance indicators.
Working with business stakeholders to understand their strategy, requirements, and priorities in order to translate their needs into projects for engineering teams.
Defining and tracking the metrics and data that will inform all decisions on features and functionality.
Analyzing and understanding project scope and core objectives, eliciting low-level functional requirements and documenting these requirements such that detailed technical specifications can be compiled by engineering teams.
Collaborate with technical lead and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze trade-offs between usability and performance needs.
Be proactive in ensuring that the engineering and QA teams understand the requirements by participating in backlog grooming and sprint planning sessions and initiating functional clarification sessions where needed.
Set timelines, drive project schedules and lead cross-functional development teams from design through to release.
Monitor metrics and dashboards to make sure products are performing up to standard.
Take ownership of managing any direct reports and mentoring them in their career development.
Review the test plan and test scripts to ensure quality and coverage.
Qualifications and experience:
Bachelor's Degree or Advanced Diploma in a related field and a minimum of 5 years of Product Management experience, of which a minimum of 2 years experience in a Product Development environment is required.
If you don’t have a Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma in a related field, an equivalent experience requirement must be met, which equates to a minimum of 8 years of Product Management experience, of which a minimum of 2 years experience in a Product Development environment is required.
Proficiency in basic SQL querying and coding is required at a minimum.
Experience in a supply chain or logistics environment (i.e. physical movement of goods) would be a big advantage.
