Product Owner at Mama Money

THE ROLE

We are looking for a user-centric Product Owner, with an interest in technology and a passion for driving delivery of cutting-edge products, to join our family at Mama Money. You will need to have strong coordination, technical, and relationship skills. 

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING 

As the Product Owner, you will act as an ambassador for our users, internally and externally, and as the primary contact for queries related to the product. You will work alongside our business and tech teams to develop and manage the product roadmap and you will serve as the voice of the client and the user, working with internal and external customers, to analyze needs and align the roadmap to our strategic goals.

On a regular basis, you will develop, scope and prioritise backlog items that guide the Agile development team. This role will require you to solve product-related problems, make decisions and complete trade-off analysis to stay on track towards business deliverable commitments. You will assess value, develop business cases and prioritize delivery.

In order to be successful in this role, you will need to develop a strong understanding of our end-to-end user and customer experiences, along with integration dependencies. This will include researching customers and users, working with vendors and solutions providers, and managing a living roadmap for the product. Having a solid understanding of users, the marketplace, the competition, and of trends in our business is an important aspect of this role.

WHAT SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE YOU SHOULD HAVE

• A user-centric approach with experience in building great apps, sweet and simple user journeys at scale
• Understanding problems at user level, managing and simplifying requirements
• Excellent ability to define scope & produce written requirements
• Ability to prioritise, taking into account the bigger picture, and be flexible with regards to changing priorities
• Ability to challenge assumptions made at all levels and drive decision making
• Strong communication and relationship building skills
• Strong generalist with solid understanding of multiple business functions
• Logical thinker with strong problem solving and solution design skills
• An understanding or experience with Agile methodologies.
• Ability to self-manage and take ownership with good organizational and time management skills.
