Your role involves gathering, assessing, analysing, and testing product information to determine its feasibility, viability, and risks within specific contexts and constraints. Moreover, you will engage with stakeholders both internally and externally, offering insights and expertise packaged professionally using Microsoft Office tools such as PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.

Your key responsibilities include:

• As a Product Analyst at PayShap, you will play an integral role in driving the success of our payment scheme. Your responsibilities will include:
• Data Analysis and Synthesis: Analyzing and synthesizing data to extract meaningful insights that inform decision-making processes.
• Collaboration: Partnering closely with Product Managers and clients to identify, document, and evaluate product requirements and roadmaps.
• Quantitative Insights: Working alongside Product Managers to gather and comprehend quantitative product data and metrics, thereby gaining a deep understanding of product performance.
• Product Support and Hypothesis Generation: Providing product support as required and generating hypotheses to address potential product-related challenges.
• Product Expertise: Developing and maintaining comprehensive product information, serving as an internal and external expert on PayShap.
• User-Centric Focus: Utilizing evidence-based insights to understand user needs and profiles, contributing to the development of user-centric product features.
• Formal Product Testing: Managing and executing formalized product testing within the product delivery cycle.
• Low Code / No Code Development: Designing, writing, and iterating code from prototype to production-ready status in the Low Code / No Code domain.
• Effective Communication: Demonstrating the ability to communicate effectively across various organizational, technical, and political boundaries, understanding the broader context.

Product Analysis:

• Gather and assess applicable product (existing or new) information in order to obtain a holistic understanding of the inner and outer workings of said product in its application and within the payments landscape ecology.
• Perform analysis on applicable products (existing or new) with the given assessment information ascertained to provide formal expert opinion on the products feasibility and viability considering functionality, data, security, integration, infrastructure, and performance.
• Provide expert opinion product design components within defined fields and contexts such as regulatory, business, and commercial.
• Perform risk assessment to identify all the inherent risks as well residual risk in line with the given service offering.  Doing this to address or provide adequate mitigation for increased efficacy or success of the product.

Product Knowledge Management:

• Contribute to the development of the product frameworks to ensure apt and fit for purpose product frameworks to work within while simultaneously increasing own understanding of the products in depth and in context of other products and the larger landscape. 
• Facilitate and share expert product knowledge to other product analysts to cross-pollinate as well as to the product architects in support of the product and service offering development.

QUALIFICATIONS / KNOWLEDGE

• Extensive interbank payment knowledge from a clearing and a settlement perspective.
• Scheme knowledge advantageous.
• Understanding of ISO Standards. 
• Cross border payment experience advantageous.
• Compilation of functional and technical specifications documents.
• Required computer literacy levels.

EXPERIENCE

• Comprehensive experience in product development and analysis.
• Experience in Business Analysis, product design and financial modelling. 
• Having experience in engaging at a Senior level. 
• Minimum 8 years’ experience in payments industry.
• 8 years’ experience in related field.
