As a Product Technical Writer at Cognism, you will work with product managers, customer support and software engineers to develop high-quality documentation that meets customer needs and supports successful product use. The documentation you create will also support other content-producers in the organisation as they create their own content deliverables.
You will apply solid writing and technical skills to produce complete, accurate, usable documentation for the appropriate audiences. This includes ensuring that users can find the information they need quickly and efficiently; meeting project deadlines and requirements; and using all appropriate documentation standards, processes, tools, and quality measures.
Responsibilities
Research, outline, write, and edit new and existing product documentation which is customer-facing.
Monitor and prioritise product documentation in order to improve the customer experience.
Obtain a deep understanding of products and services to translate complex product information into simple, polished, and engaging content.
Write user-friendly content which meets the needs of the target audience, turning insights language that sets our users up for success.
Independently gather information from subject matter experts to develop, organise, and write procedure manuals, technical specifications, and process documentation.
Develop content in alternative media forms for maximum usability, with a consistent and cohesive voice across all documentation.
Requirements
Very strong written skills with clear and concise English.
Good understanding of software engineering and technical concepts.
Good communications skills to coordinate different departments.
Interest in SaaS products.
