We are seeking an analytical and proactive Product Trend Analyst to join our dynamic team. Key Responsibilities:
Market Research and Trend Analysis:
Conduct in-depth research to identify emerging product trends and opportunities in consumer electronics and related markets.
Utilize tools like Jungle Scout, Helium 10, Keepa, and Google Trends to analyze market data and consumer behavior.
Scrape and monitor online platforms such as Takealot, Amazon, eBay, and Alibaba to identify top-selling and trending products.
Analyze customer reviews, ratings, and feedback to understand consumer needs and preferences.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
Collect and interpret large datasets to provide actionable insights.
Perform competitor analysis to identify market gaps and opportunities.
Prepare and present detailed monthly reports with substantiated product recommendations.
Product Opportunity Identification:
Identify new product opportunities that we can develop under our existing brands.
Evaluate the feasibility, profitability, and market potential of proposed products.
Collaborate with the product development team to align on product specifications.
Monitoring and Continuous Learning:
Stay updated on industry news, technological advancements, and consumer electronics innovations.
Monitor social media platforms, forums, and online communities for viral products and emerging consumer interests.
Attend relevant industry events, webinars, and trade shows when necessary
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Data Analytics, or a related field would be beneficial but not required.
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis and market research tools.
Experience with product research tools such as Jungle Scout, Helium 10, Keepa, Viral Launch, or similar platforms beneficial.
Familiarity with e-commerce platforms like Takealot, Amazon, and Alibaba.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
