Production Manager - Umbogintwini at AECI Limited

Job Description    

• Business planning - manage production targets set by business managers.
• Responsible to lead, manage and measure relevant production processes to ensure optimum efficiencies whilst striving towards continuous business improvement through applying sound engineering principles
• Safe execution of activities on site to ensure plant processes are compliant with Safety, Health and Environment standards whilst maintaining good housekeeping
• Key decision maker in developing production plan and responsible for executing plan
• Responsible and accountable for the effective leadership of the production team whilst ensuring the effective management, development and discipline of staff
• Compliance with governance and compliance with policies and procedures
• Responsible for managing and controlling the budget

Qualifications & Experience    

• Eng/BSC in Chemical Engineering or a related engineering field
• 5 years’ experience managing a production plant facility – preferably batch manufacturing
• SAP knowledge and experience would be an advantage
• Good understanding of the OHSACT, ISO Quality and Environmental standards and Safety
• Good Understanding of engineering principles
• Knowledge of Human Resources e.g. industrial relation, recruitment and selection, training and development, performance management, rewards discipline etc.
