Professional Nurse: General – 18 posts (5-month contract)
Appropriate salary will be determined according to the regulatory framework (based on OSD).

Centre: Alfred Nzo District
Requirements:
Basic R425 qualification (i.e., Degree or Diploma in Nursing) or an equivalent qualification that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse.
Proof of current registration with SANC.
Experience:
Grade 1: No experience required.
Grade 2: A minimum of ten (10) years’ appropriate or recognisable experience in nursing after registration as a Professional Nurse with SANC in General Nursing.
Grade 3: A minimum of twenty (20) years’ appropriate or recognisable experience in nursing after registration as a Professional Nurse with SANC in General Nursing.
Duties:
Execute nursing duties and functions proficiently within the prescripts of applicable legislation and departmental policies.
Provide and maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients.
Monitor patient activities and perform standard nursing procedures in line with institutional policies and clinical protocols.
Adopt a multidisciplinary approach to promote holistic patient and client care.
Maintain clinical competence by applying scientific principles of nursing practice.
Ensure accurate and complete patient record keeping and effective communication.
Maintain client satisfaction through quality service delivery, innovation, and professional nursing care, while upholding the Batho Pele principles and Patient Rights Charter.
Ensure efficient and effective utilisation of resources within the unit.
Render quality nursing care and assume unit management responsibilities in the absence of the Operational Manager.
Evaluate staff performance in line with the Employee Performance Management and Development System (EPMDS).
Motivate, coach, and mentor nursing staff to enhance professional growth and service quality.
Participate in management and control of supplies, equipment, and resources within the unit.
