Professional Nurse Grade 1 to 2 (Specialty: Advanced Midwifery and Neonatology) at Western Cape Department of Health and Wellness

REQUIREMENTS:

• Basic R425 qualification that allows registration with SANC as Professional Nurse
• Post-basic nursing qualification with duration at least 1 year in Advanced Midwifery and Neonatal Nursing Science (R212) OR 4 year Bachelor Degree in Nursing (R174) + postgraduate diploma (R635) in Midwifery
• Registration with SANC as Professional Nurse
• Grade 1: 4 years / Grade 2: 14 years appropriate experience, with at least 10 years after obtaining post-basic qualification
• Willingness to work shifts (weekends, public holidays and nights) and overtime
• Basic computer skills in MS Word, Excel, Outlook

DUTIES:

• Provide optimal, holistic, specialised nursing care within set standards
• Manage and monitor efficient utilisation of human, financial and physical resources
• Participate in training, mentoring, research and implementation of department's values
• Provide Support to Nursing Services and Institution
• Maintain professional growth/ethical standards
