Professional Nurse Grade 1 To 3 (General Nursing : Primary Health Care)
Minimum educational qualification: Basic R425 qualification (i.e. diploma/degree in nursing) or equivalent qualification that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse and Midwife. Registration with a professional council: Registration with the SANC as Professional Nurse and Midwife
Experience: Grade 1: None.
Grade 2: A minimum of 10 years appropriate/recognizable experience in nursing after registration at SANC as a Professional Nurse in General Nursing.
Grade 3: A minimum of 20 years appropriate/recognizable experience in nursing after registration with the SANC as a Professional Nurse in General Nursing. Inherent requirements of the job: Valid (Code B/EB/C1) driver’s licence.
Willingness to work overtime when necessary and relieve duties at other clinics in the Subdistrict.
Competencies (knowledge/skills):
Good communication skills (written and verbal). Ability to function/make decisions independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Good interpersonal relationships, exceptional leadership and conflict resolution skills. NIMART, BANC trained or experience. Basic computer skills in MS Office. Knowledge of relevant legislation and policies of the Department of Health Western Cape
