Professional Nurse Specialty: Primary Care Nursing
Grade 12.Basic qualification accredited with the South African Nursing Council in terms of Government Notice 425,or equivalent qualification i.e diploma/degree in Nursing as a Professional Nurse.
A post basic qualification with qualification with the duration of at least one year accredited with the SANC in terms of Government notice No R212 in Primary Care Nursing Speciality.
A minimum of 4 (four) years appropriate /recognisable experience as Professional Nurse after registration with the SANC in General Nursing. Annual SANC certificate. Verified proof of experience. Strong leadership, good communication and sound interpersonal skills are necessary.
Duties :
Provision of optimal, holistic specialised nursing care with set standards and within a professional\legal framework. Effective utilisation of human, material and service resources.
Participation intraining and research. Provision of support to Nursing Services. Maintain professional growth / ethical standards and development of self and sub-ordinates. Management of Triage area in EMU and Personnel Clinic.
